The Locked On Podcast Network announced and debuted new coverage of the NHL starting this week. The new hockey lineup of podcasts joins an already extensive network of sports coverage for Locked On which includes daily NBA, NFL, MLB and College team shows.
Locked On focuses on local, daily, short-form podcasts, hosted by team experts and insiders to cover the biggest stories.
“We are thrilled to offer NHL fans the in-depth podcasts that our basketball, football and baseball listeners have come to rely on. Hockey fans have often felt underserved by mainstream sports outlets and we will be there for them every day,” said Locked On founder and CEO David Locke.
Locked On’s rollout of NHL podcasts includes shows for the Blackhawks, Bruins, Canadiens, Canucks, Ducks, Flyers, Golden Knights, Kings, Maple Leafs, Oilers, Penguins and Sharks, with more teams set to be added during the season. Furthering their NHL coverage, Locked On will also launch two league-wide podcasts, Locked On NHL and Locked On Fantasy Hockey. Talent for the network’s new podcasts include Andrew Zuber of Yahoo Sports, Mike DiStegano from TSN 1050 and 670 The Score’s Jay Zawaski.
“The collection of talent coming together for Locked On’s NHL lineup is amazing,” says Sean Woodley, Locked On channel producer. “We’re going to be diverse, smart and super-entertaining across the board. Locked On will fill a major void for hockey fans looking for informed, engaged and daily coverage of their favorite teams.”
The Locked On podcast network continues to see its audience increase, growing to now generate 6 million monthly listens.
