Republican Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin was a guest on The Joe Pags Show Thursday evening and host Joe Pagliarulo gave him the platform to attack the mainstream media on two separate fronts. The interview appeared on the new video platform Rumble, due to YouTube’s recent policy guidelines on blocking some videos that contain a conservative viewpoint on topics like the corona virus and election fraud.

First, Johnson, who is the Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, criticized a New York Times article and editorial that said he was “touting unproven and dubious claims about the corona virus” and called Johnson “The Snake-oil Salesman of the Senate”. Secondly, he claims that the media had a bigger impact on the 2020 election than Russia in 2016.

“The fact that we have ignored early treatment of the virus with hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin (a deworming medication used to treat livestock and other animals), has cost hundreds of thousands of lives… They are miracle drugs. And the New York Times calls the brilliant doctors who support the use of these drugs and myself snake-oil salesman? Ridiculous. The doctor who wrote the OP-ED has never even treated one COVID patient. The doctors who testified at the hearing have treated thousands.”

Johnson adds that the reason the media keeps downplaying the effectiveness of both drugs is because they are inexpensive and readily available.

“Drug companies are not focusing on the benefits of these drugs because they don’t make money off of them,” Johnson said. “Instead, they are pouring all kinds of money and research into more expensive drugs just so they can make more money.”

Pagliarulo also claims that the media is covering up the effectiveness of what he calls a breakthrough treatment.

“The media is sitting on this because it’s just a twenty dollar drug,” Pagliarulo said. “I wrote something about how effective hydroxychloroquine is on Twitter and I got banned for three weeks.”

 The pair then switched gears and began to criticize the media for covering up details concerning Hunter Biden and the role that the cover up played in the outcome of the 2020 election.

“I said on this program back in October that there was an investigation into Hunter Biden and now Big Media just finds this out yesterday after the election,” Pagliarulo said.

“Right. It’s only coming out now that the election is past,” Johnson agreed. “According to a McLaughlin poll 13 percent of Biden voters say they would not have voted for him if they had known about Hunter Biden. The media covered it up until after the election because President Trump would have won going away. I think it is fair to say that the American media interfered with this election far more than Russia did in 2016. That’s where the election fraud is in this country, from the media.”

Johnson made similar claims to Sean Hannity earlier in the week on Fox News. However, according to a Newsweek article, it is unclear to which poll Johnson is referring. and it questions the validity of McLaughlin due to its association with conservative media outlet Newsmax
