Conservative talk show host and station owner Eddy Aragon is running for mayor in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Aragon runs the “Rock of Talk” KIVA-AM.

“Who’s ready to #SaveABQ? Aragon asked in a Facebook post. “Say no tyranny, lockdowns, mandates, and defund the police.”

According to his Linked In page, Aragon has spent the last eight years building a platform focused on talk radio programming and developing new ways of consuming audio entertainment including news and music.

“I just want to live in a better place,” he told KOAT-TV. “And, when there wasn’t anybody there that was speaking up for the conservatives, the Republicans and the independents out there, that’s when I immediately jumped on board”

Aragon used his radio show to get enough signatures using his talk show as a platform to get people to go to a website and sign an online petition.

“I’m very passionate about people. And that gives me purpose every single day on my radio show and what I do,” Aragon said.

Mark Levin: S.E. Cupp ‘Reliably Moronic’

Levin fired back Friday morning by tweeting “I remember when S.E. Cupp was a smart, interesting, freedom-loving thinker. Now, she’s just another CNN Republican. Reliably moronic and monotonous”.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin took aim at CNN contributor S.E. Cupp after she wrote the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate was “terrible news” for the 45th president.

Cupp wrote in her syndicated column that the reaction from Fox News personalities “didn’t just make a meal of this, they made an all-you-can-eat buffet”, before specifically calling out Steve Bannon, Laura Ingraham, Dan Bongino, and Levin himself.

Levin fired back Friday morning by tweeting “I remember when S.E. Cupp was a smart, interesting, freedom-loving thinker. Now, she’s just another CNN Republican. Reliably moronic and monotonous”.

The 64-year-old Levin raised eyebrows earlier this week by calling the FBI raid “the worst attack on this republic in modern history”. He also expressed his frustration during an appearance on Hannity by perceiving to be cut off early in the middle of making a point.

Charlie Kirk: NPR Should ‘Lose Funding’ For Gadsden Flag ‘Hit Piece’

Kirk later called Carroll Rivas a “conservative-hating leftist expert” before saying “NPR should lose all public funding and then see if the outlet can stand on its own. It is pathetic that a taxpayer-supported ‘media’ outlet can so casually insult more than half the country”.

Charlie Kirk, host of The Charlie Kirk Show, recently wrote that National Public Radio should “lose all public funding” for what he called a “hit piece” on the Gadsden flag and Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

NRP’s Scott Neuman reported a story earlier this week about Florida’s push to create a license plate patterned after the famous “Don’t Tread On Me” flag. Critics of the initiative said the flag represents “dangerous far-right extremist ideology”.

DeSantis said creating a license plate based on the flag would send “a clear message to out-of-state cars” accompanied with a link on how to presale purchase a plate, followed by an example of what the plate would look like.

Neuman’s story quotes Rachel Carroll Rivas, who works for the Intelligence Project at the Southern Poverty Law Center as the deputy director of research and analysis. She said it was clear the DeSantis administration couldn’t pretend they didn’t know what the flag represented to a certain portion of the population, noting it had been use for some “really awful” causes, notably the January 6th Insurrection.

Kirk later called Carroll Rivas a “conservative-hating leftist expert” before saying “NPR should lose all public funding and then see if the outlet can stand on its own. It is pathetic that a taxpayer-supported ‘media’ outlet can so casually insult more than half the country”.

NPR receives no direct federal funding but does receive grants from the Department of Education and the Department of Commerce which equates to 2% of the organization’s annual revenues.

Larry Elder Giving 2024 Presidential Bid ‘Strong Consideration’

“You of all people show know better than to believe everything you read in the newspaper,” Elder told Gallagher. “But the answer is I am giving it strong consideration.”

During a Thursday appearance on The Mike Gallagher Show, former Salem Media Group conservative talk show host Larry Elder said he was giving a 2024 Presidential bid “strong consideration”.

“You of all people show know better than to believe everything you read in the newspaper,” Elder told Gallagher. “But the answer is I am giving it strong consideration. As you know, we’ve collected around 150,000 individual donors, one of whom was Mike Gallagher.”

Elder, who led a failed recall effort of Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) in 2021, detailed why he won’t run for governor in 2022 and has set his sights on higher office.

“I was encouraged by a lot of people to think about something beyond California because the math is daunting,” the 70-year-old Elder said. “There hasn’t been a Republican who has won statewide (office) in 20 years. Republicans are outnumbered three to one. It’s almost impossible if you’re going to run as a conservative pro-life, pro-borders, pro-school choice, low taxes, low regulation, and not as a climate change alarmist. If you run like that, it’s almost impossible to win in California. I would have a better shot winning something nationwide, and I am taking a look at it.”
