White House press secretary Jen Psaki went after Fox News during a recording of Crooked Media’s “Pod Save America,” hosted by ex-Obama White House aides Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Dan Pfeiffer, and Tommy Vietor.
After one of the hosts asked whether Doocy is a “stupid son of a b—h or does he play a stupid son of a b—h on TV,” Psaki responded that the cable news channel is feeding White House correspondent Peter Doocy questions.
“He works for a network that provides people with questions that — nothing personal to any individual, including Peter Doocy — but might make anyone sound like a stupid son of a b—h.”
Fox News did respond to the remarks made by Psaki over Doocy and the network, stating that “In his role as White House correspondent, Peter Doocy’s job is to elicit truth from power for the American public. His questions are his own, he is a terrific reporter and we are extremely proud of his work.”
These shots at Fox News come after reports of Psaki reportedly being on the move to MSNBC, which raises some ethical questions considering it’s already a topic of discussion, as Mediaite’s Colby Hall wrote.
Furthermore, NBC News staffers are reportedly voicing their concerns over the hiring of Psaki while she’s still working for the Biden Administration.
“Here’s what he was saying: They have perspective programming. This was done on the perspective programming side. Not anything that reflects on NBC News,” a source, who was on the call, explained to CNN’s Oliver Darcy.
“People wanted answers on what NBC’s role was in this, and NBC News had no role in this,” the source added. “This is MSNBC’s perspective programming.”
